NASCAR, Dollar General partner for unique engineering internship

A new internship for Vanderbilt engineering students interested in NASCAR racing has now been made possible thanks to a $10,000 donation from Dollar General.

The partnership includes the Vanderbilt School of Engineering, Braun Racing and Braun Sponsor Dollar General Corporation, whose former CEO, Cal Turner Jr., is a Vanderbilt alum.

Alumni panel to discuss how to find success after Vanderbilt

As graduation approaches, many students on campus wonder what is next for them after they receive their Vanderbilt degree. To help students answer this question, the Alumni Association is sponsoring "After VU: Where My Vanderbilt Degree Has Taken Me," a program featuring four successful alumni.

The panel discussion will begin at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday in Wilson 103 and is open to all students. A networking reception will follow the presentation.

At the program, Bob Boniface of General Motors, Patrick Ilabaca of Fox Pan American Sports, Abby Larson of Style Me Pretty and Jeff Rothschild of Facebook will share stories and give real world advice about life after Vanderbilt.
