There's absolutely no doubt that the artist line-up for this past weekend's Rites of Spring 2009 was perfectly superior in both talent and popularity. Even more impressive was the up-and-coming artist Santigold, who definitely brought both power and creativity to all aspects of her performance. Originally hailing from Philadelphia, Penn., Santigold still performed like she was at home in Tennessee's Music City. There was no doubt that the crowd was able to feel the energy in the powerful beats and unique lyrics. She even went so far to invite students on stage to dance to the unique remixes of her song. After such a great live performance, her fan base on campus is sure to be as good as gold.
