Rising redshirt senior George Drake has decided to transfer out of Vanderbilt for his final year of eligibility.
Drake, who graduated with a degree in sociology in May, hopes to go to Alabama-Birmingham.
He saw action in 96 games during his tenure with the Commodores and notched four of his five career starts in the 2008-09 season. He was fifth on the team in scoring, averaging 5.4 points per game.
This also marks the fourth consecutive year that a Vanderbilt player has decided to transfer. DeMarree Carroll left for Missouri in 2006, JeJuan Brown left in 2007 and Keegan Bell transferred to University of Tennessee-Chattanooga shortly after the end of the 2008 season.
