Of a Revolution, better known as O.A.R., was formed in 1996 and has gone on to have their anthems blasted through college dorms for the past decade. Marc Roberge, Chris Culos, Richard On, and Benj Gershman all graduated from Wootton High School in Rockville, MD before heading to Ohio State University where they would add Jerry DePizzo to their core lineup. In the years since, they’ve graduated from playing at fraternity parties in Columbus to sold out shows at Madison Square Garden. Their secret to success? Word of mouth skyrocketed this band’s popularity. Last year’s single “Shattered” solidified their success as a mainstream band and, now in the spotlight, O.A.R. continues to live the dream of the high school garage band that made it big.
