Well, rough start of the season for me. I hope none of you actually put money on my picks. I would be shocked if you did, but I am not offering refunds like Chip Kelly, the Oregon head coach, for bad performances. This week I am tempted to just pick the opposite of what I think and see what happens. Last week I went 4-6. I am 7-13 overall. Let's see if I can improve this week and go at least 5-5.

Vanderbilt @ Rice

Vanderbilt by 7

The lack of a Commodore offense and apparently an offensive coordinator hurt my homer pick last week. It is pretty much that simple. Mississippi State is a bad team that we somehow managed to play worse than. With that said, they are an SEC team. Rice is not. If the Commodores can't win this game by more than 7, I may not be able to tolerate going to another game this season...

LSU @ Mississippi State

LSU by 13

Mississippi State won't be able to move the ball against LSU. LSU 's offense isn't nearly as pathetic as Vanderbilt's. This should be like State's game against Auburn all over again. They will give up a ton of yards and lose by at least 2 TDs.

Florida @ Kentucky

Florida by 21.5

I look for the Gators to bounce back after not putting up 40 last week. They should put up at least 40 this week against an average UK defense, and UK's offense is pretty pathetic.

Arkansas @ Alabama

Alabama by 17.5

I think Bama will win. I am just not sure they can win by 18. Arkansas' defense isn't anything great, but Ryan Mallet and Arkansas' running backs should be able to put up some points. I hope they are able to keep it relatively close although Bama's defense is much better than Georgia's.

Arizona State @ Georgia

Georgia by 12

Georgia's defense isn't stopping anyone. With that said, I find it hard to believe that they will win by more than 10 points, but hey, there is a first time for everything.

Ohio @ Tennessee

Tennessee by 23.5

After losing to Florida, I think UT comes out ready to play. Ohio is not a bad team. They only lost to Uconn by 7 earlier this year. I just think that UT's defense will shut them down, and UT has too many athletes on offense not to put up some points.

Ball St. @ Auburn

Auburn by 33

I have been burned too many times this year putting faith in bad teams against SEC teams. I will take Auburn to cover and continue their momentum. Auburn 4-0? Wow...

Miami @ Virginia Tech

Miami by 2.5

Va Tech is almost unbeatable at home. Everyone is on the Miami bandwagon. Harris is great, but I think Va Tech's defense will slow him down. Look for the Canes to have a let down. It should be close though.

Iowa @ Penn State

Penn State by 9.5

Penn State is out for revenge this season after Iowa was the only team to beat them last  year in the regular season. They have been horrible against the spread this season though not covering the last 3 weeks. This is also an Iowa team that almost lost to Northern Iowa at home! I think this is a blowout and am a little disappointed it is the ABC night game.

Cal @ Oregon

Cal by 5.5

Jahvid Best is the leader for the Heisman. The guy is incredible. 5 TDs last week. Oregon had a solid win last week against Utah, but only won by 7. They also only beat a bad Purdue team by 2. I think Cal is a much better team. Cal wins by at least 10...
