A look around the rest of the Southeastern Conference over the weekend.

Florida 23, Arkansas 20

Unranked Arkansas (3-3, 1-3 Southeastern Conference) and quarterback Ryan Mallet gave then-No. 1 Florida (6-0, 4-0) everything it could handle Saturday afternoon in Gainesville. The Michigan-transfer threw for 224 yards and one touchdown, 135 of them going to Greg Childs. However, two missed fourth quarter field goals by kicker Alex Tejada kept the score even. Tim Tebow led the Gators on a drive with less than two minutes in regulation, and Caleb Sturgis connected from 27 yards to keep Florida’s national title hopes alive.

However, the Gators slipped to No. 2 in the polls with the close win for the first time shis season.

Alabama 20, South Carolina 6

Running back Mark Ingram ran for a career-high 246 yards and one touchdown on 24 carries, as the now top-ranked Crimson Tide continued on its course for a showdown with Florida in the SEC Championship. Defensively, Alabama held the visiting Gamecocks (5-2, 2-2) to a pair of field goals and only 64 yards rushing. Quarterback Stephen Garcia could not muster much success, connecting on 20 of 46 passing attempts for 214 yards and one interception.

The Crimson Tide (7-0, 4-0) rose to the No. 1 spot in the rankings for the second consecutive year as a result. They have won 19 straight regular season games.

Kentucky 21, Auburn 14

After starting undefeated, Randall Cobb and Kentucky (3-3, 1-3) handed Auburn (5-2, 2-2) its second consecutive defeat. With just over three minutes remaining in the contest, Cobb added the final four of his 109 rushing yards on the night, to put the Wildcats ahead. For the Wildcats, it was their first victory over Auburn since 1966.

There's one team in the SEC without a conference victory now: Vanderbilt.
