While the top three teams in the conference this season have been consistent, the 4-9 group has wildly fluctuated. Auburn made a big jump this week after earning a convincing victory over disappointing Ole Miss to snap a three-game losing streak, while South Carolina was routed by Tennessee, who jumped to the No. 4 spot.
1. Florida (8-0, 6-0 SEC)
Florida regains the No. 1 spot after beating up on a struggling Georgia squad 41-17 for its 17th win in the last 20 games in the historic rivalry.
2. Alabama (8-0, 5-0)
After their bye week, the Crimson Tide hosts LSU in what promises to be their toughest test of the year so far. A win would give them a stranglehold on the West.
3. LSU (7-1, 4-1)
LSU rolls into Tuscaloosa after a 42-0 trouncing of Tulane, seeking its second win over former coach Nick Saban in three tries.
4. Tennessee (4-4, 2-3)
One week after losing a heartbreaker to Alabama, the Volunteers handled South Carolina and are looking more and more legit.
5. Auburn (6-3, 3-3)
The Tigers returned to their winning ways after three straight losses and earned bowl eligibility after a 1-year hiatus by beating up on West division rival Ole Miss 33-20.
6. South Carolina (6-3, 3-3)
After a near loss to Vandy, the wheels fell off as the Gamecocks got trampled by Tennessee in Knoxville.
7. Arkansas (3-4, 1-4)
The Hogs rebounded from their loss to Ole Miss to trounce a bad Eastern Michigan team 63-27.
8. Ole Miss (5-3, 2-3)
The Rebels continued to not live up to the hype that surrounded them before the season, getting routed by Auburn.
9. Georgia (4-4, 3-3)
Georgia's Joe Cox struggles at quarterback continued, as he threw another three interceptions in the blowout loss to the rival Gators.
10. Mississippi State (4-5, 2-3)
The surprisingly competitive Bulldogs swapped spots with Kentucky after beating the Wildcats 31-24.
11. Kentucky (4-4, 1-4)
Kentucky's two-game winning streak came to a halt against the Mississippi State in a tough loss.
12. Vanderbilt (2-7, 0-5)
One of the best offensive outputs of the season against Georgia Tech was not enough for the Commodores, who officially have no chance of returning to a bowl game this season.
