Preface:
Many people ask me, how did you become the savior of the modern Republican Party? They ask me, how did you bring all the energy and enthusiasm to the 2008 presidential elections? My answer is simple — I went rogue. As you all know, I am not your typical, Ivy-league educated, smooth-talking politician. I was never fond of special interests and lobbyists. To be honest, I was never interested in politics. But, when I set my heart on accomplishing a task or a job, I never quit. When I believed in something, I never let others influence my decisions.
Of course, there were times when people forced me to think a certain way or talk in a different fashion. To be specific, these campaign advisors wanted me to become another ordinary Vice-Presidential candidate. But I didn’t. And, that’s when I went rogue. I used my pro-American instincts to pull through all the difficult times. I was attacked by both the liberal media and the liberal McCain folks for the very values that you and I share — the right to speak and act freely. Sure, I could have impressed some people by talking policy and theory. I could have even worn a different coat to the Katie Couric interview. But real, small-town Americans care not for vanity but values. And, for these true patriots, I was their voice of common sense and freedom. Although the election did not turn out the way I expected, I was fortunate enough to finally join the ranks of real pro-American women like Clinton, Albright and Thatcher who fought hard to break the ultimate glass ceiling.
This book is not really about me. It’s not even about you. It’s about the American spirit of going rogue. It’s in our country’s genes and written all over our God-given Constitution. It’s what keeps America strong and pure. How? First, going rogue is about family values. Look at my rogue family and see how we embody traditional values. Secondly, it’s about national defense. We have not had a single terrorist attack on our soil since our rogue mission in Iraq. And, finally, it’s about free market. Our rogue economy will be doing much better with no government spending.
Ladies and gentlemen, these are dangerous times. Already, the state-controlled media has embarked on a leftist propaganda in the name of “fact-checking” to discredit my Rogue Manifesto. The Schmidts, the Snowes and Scozzafavas of our country will destroy our way of life. Coastal elites, secular Jews, libertarians, librarians, intellectuals, scientists and homosexualists are going to kill your grandma. But be assured that you and I can take this country back. There has never been a better time to go rogue than now. And, you can start your own rogue journey with me by starting on page one. If you love America as much as I do, you will love this book. I know I’m going to enjoy reading this real pro-American story.
