- Get your fill in. There’s no excuse for you to complain of hunger when Friday comes around and there’s no time to stop for lunch. Thanksgiving is the day before which means you should be able to stuff your face the day before.
- Sleep is the cousin of death. No, I’m not talking about your obnoxious cousin who ate all the pecan pie. Rather, I’m talking about the fact that it may be essential for you to sacrifice a large portion of sleep. Stores are open as early as 4:30am, so bring on the coffee.
- Prepare your route. Print out the floor layout of your local mall and plan out the best paths for getting to your favorite stores as quickly as possible. It may even pay off to hit the upper levels first and work your way down.
- Lists, Lists, and Lists. If you’re planning on finishing your holiday shopping on Black Friday alone, then be sure to write down a solid list of people who you intend to buy great gifts for. Also, keep the person and personality you’re shopping for in each store. Maybe even feel free to purchase some great guilty pleasures for yourself as well!
- Hit the ground running. Wear practical shoes and wear a comfy outfit. But most of all, feel free to throw some elbows and do a little bit of pushing. If you’re truly dedicated, then nothing should get in your way of a great sale.
Happy Shopping!
