Vanderbilt Athletics has released the dates for a few spring Commodore football events, including the spring scrimmage, on its VUcommodores.com football blog today.
The Black and Gold Scrimmage will be held on Saturday, April 10 at 10:30 a.m. in the Vanderbilt Stadium. The game is free and open to the public.
Friday, March 19 is Vanderbilt's Pro Day, when Commodore football players will workout for NFL scouts. Strength director John Sisk expects about a dozen players to participate including, offensive tackle Thomas Welch, center Bradley Vierling, defensive end Steven Stone, defensive end Broderick Stewart, linebacker Brent Trice, linebacker Patrick Benoist, defensive tackle Greg Billinger, safety Ryan Hamilton, quarterback Mackenzi Adams, wide reciever/tight end Justin Green and offensive lineman Eric Henlsey.
Spring practice for the football team will begin Wednesday, March 17, with at least three practices a week.
