InsideVandy brings you an (almost) unprecedented level of service by offering real-time blogging at today's Homecoming game featuring our own Commodores versus the South Carolina Gamecocks. I'm up in the press box (which makes me a legitimate journalist), and here are my initial impressions:
1. The student section is very sparsely populated. Half of that side of the stadium is wearing red and the other half is empty. Hopefully the tailgaters will show up soon, belligerent as always and resplendent in their pink pants.
2. The Gamecock looks more like a duck.
3. The horn that blows during a touchdown/significant event is a lot louder up here; it rattled my desk.
4. I wish I'd turned to non-satirical journalism earlier, because I really would have enjoyed being up here during such Great Moments In Vanderbilt Football Fandom History as "freezing" and "being rained on."
