While most students at Vandy escaped relatively unscathed from the widespread flooding, large portions of downtown Nashville were not as fortunate. Despite pleasant weather on Monday, the Cumberland River continued to rise to record heights, inundating the Nashville riverfront area. Streets were closed off throughout the downtown area as numerous businesses and buildings (including Nashville landmarks such as Bridgeston Arena, the Schermerhorn Symphony Center, the Country Music Hall of Fame, and more) experienced devestating flooding.
I had the chance to check out the effected areas on Monday afternoon and record footage of the terrible force of mother nature.
