ScholarBowl initial rounds continue
Initial rounds for the annual quiz bowl event continue at 10 a.m. in Sarratt 189. The event allows Vanderbilt students and organizations to compete for their favorite charities.
Discussion with artist Jay Bolotin
In conjunction with the exhibition "Jay Bolotin: The Jackleg Testament," the Fine Arts Gallery will host an informal discussion with the artist on Feb. 23 at noon in the Fine Arts Gallery. The film will be shown in the Fine Arts Gallery continually or by visitor request.
‘Confessions of Junior Faculty as Revealed by Ms. Mentor'
Join Ms. Mentor (a.k.a. Emily Toth, English professor at Louisiana State University) for her witty and sage advise column in The Chronicle of Higher Education. Ms. Mentor will provide a rollicking tour of issues that perplex junior faculty and how they can respond. Reception to follow.
LAN party / Halo II Tournament
The Vanderbilt Computer Society hosts a full night of gaming tournaments on PS3, Wii, Xbox, (probably even a few N64s) and a raffle of games, consoles and other prizes. The event begins at 6 p.m. at the Jacobs Believed in Me Auditorium, FGH Room 134.
Dance Marathon begins tonight
The 14-hour fundraising event Dance Marathon begins tonight at 7 p.m. at the Student Recreation Center to benefit the Vanderbilt Children's Hospital.
Vanderbilt Opera Theatre presents ‘Tartuffe'
Tonight at 8 p.m. at Ingram Hall, Vanderbilt Opera Theatre performs "Tartuffe," adapted from Moliere by Kirke Mechem. The event is free and open to the public.

Asian New Year Festival
The Asian American Student Association will put on a cultural show celebrating the Asian New Year at 7 p.m. in the Student Life Center Ballroom. Dinner will be served with the purchase of a dinner ticket.

Deadline for 2007-2008 Housing Application
Feb. 25 marks the deadline for the 2007-2008 housing application process for undergraduates. Students must apply at the Housing and Residential Education Web site.
