In what seems like forever since we last heard from her Macy Gray is back - and apparently in a rather "big" way. But, like a funny joke that everyone gets but Macy herself, this album is really like, well, a funny joke that everyone gets but Macy herself.
To her credit however, some of the tracks on this album are bearable, such as the track "Treat Me Like Your Money" featuring will.i.am from the Black Eyed Peas. But most of the album's homogenous sound is overridden by Gray's atrocious vocal nonsense.
Yes, even in the only hit single of her career ("I try to say goodbye and I choke...") which I'm sure we all painfully remember, Gray's raspy voice raised many an eyebrow. Fans and haters alike will surely notice upon first listen that Macy Gray is still Macy Gray, and that alone is enough to stay away from this record.
