"Let it never be said that romance is dead, cause there's so little else, occupying my head."

And so begins yet another impressive record from the tenacious redcoats who are collectively known as the Kaiser Chiefs. Like many other of today's British new wave rock bands, the Kaiser Chiefs have begun to imprint their own presence in the States - and with good reason. "Yours Truly, Angry Mob" brings to light a certain definitiveness that is often grey in the homogenous indie rock genre.

As their last album, "Unemployment," served to propel the Kaiser Chiefs from the crowd onto the stage, this new album pushes them forward into the spotlight as the Chiefs convey art and beauty into this meaningful and delightful work.

While songs that revolve around such topics as romanticism, impressing girls and retrospection bring the Chiefs into a mature position lyrically, the Kaiser Chiefs have never rocked harder. That same raw, emotional energy is present on nearly every track and collectively makes this album a can't miss for 2007.
