There does not exist a “casual” fan of Leslie Feist, known simply as Feist. A member of Broken Social Scene, Feist branched out into a solo career, most notably creating 2004's album "Let It Die" . That album, which was hailed as one of the best Canadian pop albums of 2004, is nearly faultless.Nearly three years later, Feist has alas returned to pass along what could easily be hailed the best indie pop album of 2007.

Like a cascading dream flowing through an atmospheric winter night, the songs from "The Reminder" captivate the listener into an almost reflective state of tranquility.

Recorded at her home in Paris, Feist included a variety of ambient sounds – from the chirping of birds to the clapping of shoes. “We literally made this in our pajamas,” said Feist. “We put up a forest of microphones in the bedrooms.” Despite a couple tracks that swell one into boredom and thus call for skipping, Feist has outdone herself and created an album best listened to in a relaxed mood – perhaps in one’s pajamas.
