I am appealing to the Vanderbilt community to answer me a simple question. I am constantly calling friends and associates and occasionally get their voicemail. I am baffled by the fact that many people choose to say "Hi, you've reached_______, I'm not here right now so leave a message..." I ask you; where is 'HERE'' It's a cell phone for goodness sake- here could be anywhere- isn't that the point of the things' Anyway, perhaps I am writing this to get an answer, or perhaps I am writing this to release my frustration from years of being bugged by it. However, to those of you who do say this on your voicemail messages; perhaps a better line would be "I can't get to the phone at the moment/right now..." Just a thought.
