1. LSU 3-0 (1-0 SEC)
Backup Ryan Perilloux got valuable experience in a 44-0 rout of Middle Tennessee Saturday, as the Bayou Bengals held starter Matt Flynn out with a sprained ankle. Perilloux actually leads the team in passing yardage now and has completed over 80 percent of his throws.
2. Florida 3-0 (1-0)
Urban Meyer and Tim Tebow are showing that Florida does not rebuild; it reloads.
3. South Carolina 3-0 (1-0)
The Gamecocks are probably a little concerned about Blake Mitchell's three interceptions and the overall sleep-walk that occurred in a win over South Carolina State.
4. Alabama 3-0 (2-0)
John Parker Wilson showed some guts on the Tide's game-winning drive. The victory put some of the knee jerk Vandy-fan reactions into perspective, as well. Sabans's squad is solid.
5. Kentucky 3-0 (0-0)
$25,000 fine for rushing the field? That's money well-spent for the Wildcat program.
6. Arkansas 2-1 (0-1)
Back in the day, this would be a triple-option type team. But in the dot.com
era, it's all about the Wild Hog formation.
7. Georgia 2-1 (0-1)
After winning a pseudo-scrimmage against Western Kentucky, the Bulldogs look to take down newly-ranked Alabama.
8. Tennessee 1-2 (0-1)
Remember when Tennessee had dominant lines on both sides of the ball? Things certainly have changed in Knoxville.
9. Vanderbilt 2-1 (1-1)
When is the last time Vanderbilt controlled another SEC game like it did Saturday?
10. Mississippi State 2-1 (1-1)
The Bulldogs showed some character in rebounding from an embarrassing nationally-televised loss to LSU to beat a program like Auburn.
11. Auburn 1-2 (0-1)
No one could have imagined the Tigers would be ranked this low, but after getting beat by lowly Mississippi State at home, they're lucky they aren't in the cellar.
12. Ole Miss 1-2 (0-1)
Coach Orgeron may be known as a great recruiter, but it's hard to tell. The Commodores looked much more talented than Rebels on Saturday.
