Welcome to the third annual week of StartEm/BenchEm and NFL predictions for week 6 in the NFL with Mr. X. This week is starting out to be interesting and after applying the same routine of research to the teams, as I did last week, I feel confident in my predictions yet again. Currently my teams are 5-0, 4-0, 4-1, and 3-2. Predictions last week went 12-2 and lifetime on here is now at 15-13 (keeping in mind the horrific week at 3-11 before I did rigorous research). Without further ado, lets get to it. ------------------------------ StartEm Ronnie Brown RB/MIA - He's been hot for three games solid now. And he's now going against a pretty poor Cleavland Running Defense. I'm expecting the same high numbers. Despite the fact that Miami sucks somethin awful. Brian Westbrook and D. Mcnabb RB/QB PHI - Donovan hasn't exactly had the consistency, but he is coming off a bye. And with his favorite RB/WR in the game he should be back on target and Westbrook should go crazy against the Jets. LenDale White RB/TEN - As the three-headed monster of Chris Brown, Vince Young, and LenDale White he's the one they give the rock when they're in the red and that makes him most likely to grab some TD points. Santana Moss WR/WAS - GB secondary isn't doing all that great but they haven't let many explosive plays get by either. So If not 100 yards then close, and most likely a TD. Edgerrin James RB/ARI - He's been getting consistent yardage and the Cardinals do seem to favor him near the goal line to get 'em a TD. All the Pats QB/RB/WR/D/ST - The usual deal. LaDainian Tomlinson RB/SD - He's looking good again. And this week's match up puts him in a position to make some of the bust out LT well all know and love. Kenny Watson/Rudi Johnson RB/CIN - How to Beat KC= run, run, run.Who ever plays gets to do parts 1, 2 and 3. Reggie Bush RB/NO - He's getting better and I'm not one to give up on him. -------------------------------------------- BenchEm Matt Schaub QB/HOU - He saved me last week when Palmer was on a bye week, but Jags defense is pretty outstanding. Cedric Benson RB/CHI - Just ugh, not what any of us expected (I hope). Vince Young QB/TEN - He just didn't look all that great last game (3 INT), and TB pass defense isn't horrible. So, if he gets contained in the pocket, it's going downhill fast for his stats. Gus Frerotte/Brain Leonard QB/RB STL - One lucky game for Gus. I picked up Leonard to cover the small work load that Steven Jackson was giving me anyways, and he's been doing well enough it's just that this week its the Ravens. ******ALERT******- Steven Jackson may not be back until week 10 and if the Rams record isn't enough to warrant his return the Rams may save him for a 2008 start to make sure he is fully healthy, so plan accordingly I'll try to keep the situation as up-to-date as I possibly can. Vincent Jackson WR/SD - Great week against a wounded CB, but this week he'll be locked down. Earnest Graham TB/RB - Titans D has been insane. Period. ---------------------------------------- Predictions SUN 1 PM GAMES -------------- MIN @ CHI = CHI - If they continue like last week they should do fine. PHI @ NYJ = PHI - WestBrook is back and PHI should create some turnovers. HOU @ JAC = JAC - Jaguars are gonna fill the running holes and air attack this one all the way home. STL @ BAL = BAL - Yet again, STL no O-Line. MIA @ CLE = CLE - Cleavland looks better and better. Miami, exactly the opposite. CIN @ KC = CIN - Bengals are coming off the bye, and their offense is just plain better. GB @ WAS = WAS - My upset for the week. I feel that WAS can keep the ball for a long time with Clinton Portis. In addition, I think that defensive co-ordinators have figured out the GB offense...pass. TEN @ TB = TEN - It's gonna most likely be close. But the insane pressure of the Titan D will make Garcia feel the heat. SUNDAY 4 PM GAMES ------------------ CAR @ ARI = ARI - Panthers are now the team that plays with a void where their QB should be. OAK @ SD = SD - LT will dominate. NE @ DAL = NE - They both have outstanding offenses. NE has a better defense AND Romo is coming off his horrible game, so if he has lost his confidence against the Bills then he will get his confidence destroyed by NE. SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL ---------------------- NO @ SEA = SEA - They thrive on stadium noise and turnovers which Brees will give them. MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL ------------------------ NYG @ ATL = NYG - Harrington is an awful QB, and his replacement's game plan is all too obvious. Especially against one hell of a pass rush team in the NYG D. Good luck, Game on. Mr. X
