The News of the World claims that Lindsay Lohan is almost flat broke. When she returns to L.A. next week to begin the shooting of her next film, "Dare To Love Me," she will be staying as a guest in a friend's house because she cannot afford a hotel. She reportedly blew $7 million in a few months time. A source claims she spent $1 million on just one hotel bill. "Lindsay doesn't have much choice as she is totally broke. The only reason she's coming back to L.A. is to earn some money fast. She still thinks nothing of blowing thousands of dollars on a single night of partying. And the amount she has wasted putting cocaine up her nose is disgusting. Even she has lost count." This source also claimed she blew almost $1 million on chauffeurs. She also spent $1 million on clothes, $350,000 on cars, $70,000 on tanning, $500,000 on partying alone, and $137,000 on rehab. She has even been forced to sell her Manhattan and L.A. apartments. Kids, this is what happens when you f*** up your life. According to Dlisted.com, Amy Winehouse's father, Mitch, said that he wrote a eulogy for his daughter because he thought she was going to die two months ago when she was rushed to the hospital following her overdose on a 3-day drug binge. Mitch said she also had a brain seizure. He candidly said, "I know newspapers have obituaries ready for people – well, I’d written one. When Amy had her seizure and was taken to hospital, I really thought that could be it. The doctors told us even a whiff of another drug could kill her." Mitch said that Amy has done drugs even after her death scare. "When I found out Blake had given her more drugs after that [overdose], I couldn’t believe it. It was as bad as someone holding a gun to my daughter’s head. Blake is a bad influence on her and I no longer toe the line and pretend he isn’t. Until he came along she was staunchly anti-hard drugs. For Amy and Blake to beat their drug problems, they have to go into rehab separately, and he won’t let her do that." Just slough off the bum, Amy! You can do it, girl! I do not want to see that obituary in the paper anytime soon! Madonna is directing a new documentary, according to Perez Hilton. In the Ask Ro section of her website, Madonna's bff, Rosie O’Donnell, reveals: "What movie did you and Madonna go to see? her documentary I AM BECAUSE WE ARE which was devastating and amazing" That title is from Archbishop Desmond Tutu's words. The documentary is very beautiful and touching, a source told Drowned Madonna. It focuses on the poor, full of suffering lives of Malawi children. Malawi is the African country where her Madgesty adopted little David recently. "I Am Because We Are" shows how AIDS has affected the lives of Malawi's children, since many many of them lost their parents due to the disease and have had to live on the streets. The documentary also highlights the work that Madonna’s organization, Raising Malawi, has been doing in the country. I just love Madonna. Before I see this documentary, though, I have got to get my hands on that new album (now out February 2008)! Rapper T.I. won two BET Awards on Saturday night, according to USA Today. Unfortunately for him, his triumph was tainted by the fact that he was arrested earlier that day. The rapper illegally attempted to buy machine guns by paying for them with cash and without registering for them, as mandated by the law. T.I. got caught by the feds just hours before the BET Awards. His home has been searched and his record label has no comment on the arrest. Sucks for him. He was right when he said "big s*** poppin' and lil' s*** stoppin'," but if only he knew how ironic that would be in a few months time. (i.e. Big machine guns thing goes down and it gets stopped. People, you are going to have to get my jokes!) TMZ reports that at BET's Hip-Hop Awards in Atlanta last night, Kanye West won "Best Hip-Hop Video" and then tried to give it away! (Oh, Kanye, you are such a diva.) Kanye accepted the award for the video for "Stronger," then said that UGK's song "International Players," featuring OutKast, was more deserving, and handed the award to OutKast's Big Boi. Big Boi handed back the award and told Mr. West that he had no reason to be humble. (Humble!?) Sigh. Oh, Kanye. His concert was AMAZING the other night (minus the "Drunk and Hot Girls" monologue thing) and he even had a b****-fit (a b.f., if you will) at one point in the performance. Homes, you need to pull that nose down out of the sky because you are just too much. You whine when you do not get awards, and you give them away when you get them. Sigh. Work on that cocky attitude. Finally, TMZ reports that fans of "The View" have less than a month before co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck goes on extended pregnancy leave. The blonde conservative defender is pregnant with her second child with football player husband, Tim Hasselbeck. She will be taking leave starting November 8 or 9. "The View" will have a series of celeb co-hosts in her place until she returns. I will miss her.
