Following a Alabama fumble in their own redzone, the Commodores have taken their first lead of the season. Nickson led the Dores 87 yards in under 4 minutes culminating with a 6-yard touchdown reception by Earl Bennett. Helping out immensely on the drive was FB Stephen Bright with 2 catches for 36 yards. Nickson and Jackson-Garrison combined for 32 yards on six rushes. Following the kickoff, John Parker Wilson took a knee and Coach Mike Shula led his Crimson Tide into the locker rooms trailing the Commodores 3-10.

Halftime brings with it a somber silence to Bryant-Denny Stadium. The 92,000 faithful Alabama fans are for want of a better word shocked at their team's lackluster performance. Much like last weekend Vanderbilt has been helped immensely by poor play from the Alabama offense. Unlike last weekend, however, the Commodores have capitalized on these key mistakes, turning their two takeaways into 10 points.

Alabama will start the second half with the ball and will no doubt be riled from the score. The Vanderbilt defense must be ready for a renewed rushing attack, as Kenneth Darby will be eager to improve on his meager 22 yards rushing.
