Mackenzie Adams underthrew Earl Bennett in the endzone and was intercepted on the one-yard line. South Carolina put up its first real drive of the game, with Chris Smelley back in at QB. DJ Moore dropped a sure interception just in front of the endzone, but Patrick Benoist ended the drive with a huge sack to force a 3rd and very long. The Gamecocks failed to convert and settled for a 34-yard field goal. Adams is the leading rusher for Vandy, and the only effective runner. Big difference between him and Chris Nickson... he looks at a lot more receivers than just always throwing at Earl.
