Welcome to the 7th annual week of StartEm/BenchEm with Mr. X for week 10 in the NFL. Well the previous week's featured game proved to be what we all thought it would be. It came down to d a defensive stop that ended up making the Pats win. So far my fantasy teams are at 9-0, 7-1, 7-2, and 7-2. I have clinched just about clinched in my 9-0 league. My lifetime predictions on here stand at 51-31. So without further ado, let's get to it. StartEm ---------------------------------------- LenDale White RB/TEN - Wow, pretty much has turned into a must start as he is getting the major share of the carries and is now at 3 100+ yd. games. Brett Favre QB/GB - Hes had a lot of touchdowns against MIN and their secondary is giving up some deep ones. So with the talented receiving corps. this guy has, I expect him to exploit that weakness. Carson Palmer QB/CIN - I have him in two of my leagues. Even though the Bengals seem destined to almost never win, Palmer has put up consistent stats throughout the season. Priest Holmes RB/KC - So I told you the original motivation was that the Hustler said to bench Larry Johnson. I went against that and he put up decent production for everyone, now he's apparently out for the season. So if you can still, somehow, pick up Holmes do it. This kid looks sick. J.P Losman, Marshawn Lynch and Lee Evans QB/RB/WR BUF - Going against MIA (probably the worst team in the NFL) and the Bills have had some serious chemistry recently. All the Steelers QB/RB/WR/especially D/ST PIT - If the game last week against BAL wasn't enough to convince you, I don't know what will be. On by the way, I believe these guys CAN and probably WILL take down the PATS. David Akers K/PHI - Low scoring game and I like this kicker better than the other. Lions D/ST DET- This comes as even a shock to me, but they are the 2nd highest scoring defense in all fantasy leagues this year. I know. Marc Bulger and Torry Holt QB/WR STL- High scoring game and one of these begets the other. ----------------------------------------------------------- BenchEm Vince Young QB/TEN - Madden Curse, nuff said. Cleo Lemon QB/MIA - Never going to be on the love side of this article, ever. All of your 49ers QB/RB/WR/D/ST SF - Horrible and just look old. Kevin Curtis WR/PHI - WAS defense is highly underestimated. Jamal Lewis RB/CLE - Steel Curtain. Kurt Warner QB/ARI - Lions have been bringing some serious hurt to QB in the past weeks and I'm expecting it to continue this week. Maurice Jones-Drew and Fred Taylor RB/JAC - TEN Def. is incredible at stopping the run. And I think even with the large amount of talent here, I think they get overpowered. Julius Jones RB/DAL - MBIII takes way more carries, and TDs rarely come this guy's way. ---------------------------------------- Predictions 1 PM GAMES ----------------- BUF @ MIA = BUF - Pretty obvious for me here. BUF is getting better and better. MIA doesn't seem to be able to do much right. STL @ NO = NO - High Scoring affair. But after last week, you gotta pick NO. CLE @ PIT = PIT - Big Ben, WRs, and Defense went crazy and are going to keep that energy going against CLE. PHI @ WAS = WAS - Both teams are struggling right now. But as long as Campbell can throw some TDs, all is well. ATL @ CAR = CAR - CAR's D has to show up and stop Dunn. If that happens, they take the game. Can we get freaking Steve Smith in the game by the way, damn. MIN @ GB = GB - Favre is incredible and has receivers that can catch. MIN D has some holes that Favre definitely knows about. I think GB takes it. JAC @ TEN = TEN - TEN D is incredible and we have a great FG kicker, thank god. Now if only they could get a Passing TD from Vince Young, all would be well...for that matter if they could score once they're in the red zone, that'd be great too. DEN @ KC = KC - Den was embarrassed by DET last week. And their offense doesn't have much to rebound with QB Huard. Priest is probably gonna win this one. 4 PM GAMES --------------- CIN @ BAL = CIN - Upset Pick. BAL has a lot to prove, but I'm hoping that CIN can come through with the win. DAL @ NYG = DAL - Shootout game here I believe, even with both D's improving. Owens v. Burress will dictate this game. And Burress btw is probably in his best shape ever after the bye week. DET @ ARI = DET - Last week of DET wins, probably. CHI @ OAK = CHI - Both teams suck. But CHI sucks less. Sunday Night Football ----------------------- IND @ SD = IND - If IND shuts down the run as well as they have been, and Manning gets pissed from last weeks game, this should be IND ripping apart SD. Monday Night Football ------------------------ SF @ SEA = SEA - Yeah SF, has become probably the least flashy and/or productive offense in the NFL from my point of view. SEA takes this easily.
