MTV is launching a contest asking Britney Spears' fans to create their own video for her next single, "Piece Of Me." Britney already shot the video, but she wants another one. The winning video will appear on TRL. (Is she desperate or what? The video she recorded must be like that "2 Girls, 1 Cup" shiz, except with Starbucks frappucinos.) The Hollywood Reporter has released their annual list of the highest paid actresses in Hollywood. The highest earner this year is a newbie---Nashville native Reese Witherspoon. The rest of the list goes a little something like this: 1. Reese Witherspoon — $15 million-$20 million 2. Angelina Jolie — $15 million-$20 million 3. Cameron Diaz — $15+ million 4. Nicole Kidman — $10 million-$15 million 5. Renee Zellweger — $10 million-$15 million 6. Sandra Bullock — $10 million-$15 million 7. Julia Roberts — $10 million-$15 million 8. Drew Barrymore — $10 million-$12 million 9. Jodie Foster — $10 million-$12 million 10. Halle Berry — $10 million Former Westlife singer, Brian McFadden, and Australian singer, Delta Goodrem, have announced their engagement, according to PerezHilton.com. The couple confirmed their engagement on Friday, amidst false reports Goodrem had turned down the proposal insisting she was "too young" to settle down. Delta’s management issued a statement, saying, "The couple were hoping to keep the news private however they feel it is important to now confirm their exciting news." Goodrem began dating McFadden in 2004, before relocating from Australia to the U.K. to live with the Irish pop star. It is the second marriage for Brian - he has two young daughters with Atomic Kitten singer Kerry Katona. Their marriage ended in 2004 after three torturous years. Congrats on a good one! Motorcycle daredevil Evel Knievel died yesterday at age 69, reports his official website. He reportedly died of liver failure, triggered by hepatitis C, contracted from a blood transfusion. Evel's rep told TMZ, "The world has lost a one of a kind human being. Someone like this we'll never never see again." Fly his ashes over the Grand Canyon. R.I.P. 120 non-striking employees of "The Tonight Show" were laid off yesterday and given an early Christmas bonus. TMZ reports that employees were told they would get a bonus of $100 for every year they have been with the show, but some did not even get that. The show has been dark since November 5th when the strike started, and NBC has been covering since then. Employees do not even know if they will have a job once the strike ends. They were told, "If your services are needed, we will contact you." Sounds like they were not contacted. Shame. Finally, in response to Entertainment Weekly's "50 Smartest People in Hollywood" list, The New York Daily News has put out a "50 Dumbest People in Hollywood" list. While Judd Apatow topped the smartest list, Lindsay Lohan topped the dumbest. The NYDN's reason was that she makes "poor movie choices ("I Know Who Killed Me")," has "delinquent behavior," and "bad taste in men." Their Top 10 looks like this, and I can't agree with it more: 1. Lindsay Lohan 2. Kim Kardashian 3. Spencer Pratt 4. Jeff Kwatinetz 5. Shia LaBeouf 6. Heidi Montag 7. Jessica Simpson 8. Kiefer Sutherland 9. Tori Spelling 10. Rumer Willis
