Welcome to the 10th annual week of StartEm/BenchEm with Mr. X for week 13 in the NFL. Hey all. Well its the final week of the regular season for almost all leagues. Were gonna try and get you all into the playoffs by getting that final win, and possibly upsetting by a points differential. My predictions stand at 82-46. My team are currently 11-0, 9-1, 10-2, and 10-2. Im pretty safe in all my leagues but I'm most concerned with going undefeated in the 11-0 league, plus I just love winning. Let's get to it. StartEm Thursday ---------------------------------- Tony Romo QB/DAL Brett Favre QB/GB Greg Jennings WR/GB Jason Witten TE/DAL Terrell Owens QB/DAL BenchEm Thursday -------------------------------- D/ST of either team as it's gonna be a high scoring one here. Ryan Grant RB/GB Prediction Thursday ---------------------- DAL > GB Nothing will change above this line when Sunday's picks are added. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Well Thursday night's game was good, but disappointing as Favre had to leave the game. Romo won but not against his idol. However, the Cowboys did most likely gain home field advantage. Let's get to Sunday's Games and get you guys a W. StartEm Sunday ----------------------------------- Warrick Dunn RB/ATL Steven Jackson RB/StL Jon Kitna QB/DET - Yeah I know, but I feel like they'll be attacking through the air again as the change to running basically did nothing against GB. Clinton Portis RB/WAS - Bounce back game from a veteran. Thomas Jones RB/NYJ - Hasn't has a TD, but its the Dolphins and I dunno what I'd do if he had a sensational game where he goes crazy and I had him on my bench. Maurice Jones-Drew RB/JAC Peyton Manning QB/IND Reggie Wayne WR/IND Brian Westbrook RB/PHI - Honestly, he's insane. Frank Gore RB/SF Selvin Young RB/DEN All Steelers QB/RB/WR/TE/D/ST/K All Patriots QB/RB/WR/TE/D/ST/K - They come back after the crappy week, even though the game was close all their numbers for fantasy were phenomenal. BenchEm Sunday ------------------------------------- Vince Young QB/TEN - God he sucks. LenDale White RB/TEN - He had good production over several games and has disappeared recently. Steve Smith WR/CAR - Hasn't gotten a lot of looks and Vinny may not be playing making it even worse. Shaun Alexander RB/SEA - Horrid production all season long. Eli Manning QB/NYG - Hard to believe he was good at one time. Carson Palmer QB/CIN - Here's the thing, if you have him you probably do want to play him. The problem here is that Palmer has Chad back on his feet, and he is a veteran. So despite how bad this one looks, he could actually be great. I'm betting that he won't though. Drew Brees QB/NO Jay Cutler QB/DEN Predictions ---------------------------- 1 PM GAMES ------------------ HOU @ TEN = HOU - I just do NOT trust TEN ability to score. JAC @ IND = IND - Beat 'em once and they'll do it again. SD @ KC = SD - Run it down their throats. ATL @ STL = STL - Steven Jackson is back an trying to make StL a good team, they'll get a win here going up against Joey Harrington, who I despise. NYJ @ MIA = NYJ - Most are predicting MIA first win of the year, I say nay. DET @ MIN = MIN - DET is done for, no matter what Kitna says. SEA @ PHI = PHI - Last week was amazing, hoping the streak continues this week. BUF @ WAS = WAS - WAS is actually really good, they can easily pick off this struggling BUF team, who are without Marshawn Lynch again. SF @ CAR = CAR - Pretty crappy game here. 4 PM GAMES --------------------------- CLE @ ARI = CLE - Red hot. DEN @ OAK = DEN - Both are in a strange category of meh since they both can be good or bad on any given day. NYG @ CHI = CHI - Eli is choking, and the Giants second half of the season curse is alive and well. TB @ NO = NO - They're back on track after last week. Sunday Night Football ---------------------------- CIN @ PIT = PIT - Hopefully conditions will be better and we get to see two great QBs shoot it out. Monday Night Football ---------------------------- NE @ BAL = NE - They are gonna be shaken up, but BAL offensive production has been awful all year.
