We're running a 32-athlete, single-elimination tournament to find Vanderbilt's biggest star. Voting for the first round of the David Price Regional ended Thursday at 5 p.m. Here are the results,

1. Pedro Alvarez, Junior, Baseball (70%)
Third Baseman
-Preseason National Player of the Year and potential No. 1 pick
-Star of Team USA past two summers
-Turned down $1 million from Red Sox to play for Vandy
-Fan favorite for his tape-measure homers

8. Jon Curran, Junior, Golf (30%)
-Eighth at the NCAA Championship
-Ended ’07 with four straight top-10 finishes
-Regional All-American

4. Mr. C, Traditional Mascot (57%)
-“Old School”
-Recently received much-needed makeover
-“Undeflatable” spirit
-Strong and quick with good range on T-shirt tosses

5. Big C, Inflatable Mascot (43%)
-“New School”
-Adds new dimension to Commodore spirit
-Big hit with the younger Vandy fans
-Good relationship with the Noshville pickle

2. Alex Gordon, Senior, Basketball (70%)
Guard
-Versatile playmaker for nationally ranked squad
-“Red” is a fierce competitor who leaves it all on the floor
-Averaging 10.6 points and 3.6 assists per game
-Fan favorite for hustle and intensity

7. Vijay Paul, Sophomore, Tennis (30%)
-Ranked No. 78 nationally by the ITA
-Went 8-3 in SEC play as freshman
-Rising star for NCAA Tournament-qualifying squad

3. D.J. Moore, Sophomore, Football (77%)
Cornerback
-Playmaking cornerback earned second team All-SEC honors
-Six interceptions was most by a Commodore in 25 years
-Also excelled as kick returner and on offense
-Flipped into end zone after taking his interception to the house

6. Katie Schulz, Junior, Soccer (23%)
Midfielder
-Three-time All-SEC selection
-Stabilized the team from the midfield
-Heart and soul of Commodores
