Vanderbilt Hustler: What have been the keys to the recent five-game winning streak?
Hannah Tuomi: I just say that we've been working hard in practice every day, and that's been carrying over into the games.

VH: What's it like being a freshman in the SEC?
HT: It's tough at times. But you just have to overcome adversity and outwork everybody.

VH: What's the hardest adjustment to make?
HT: The speed, the height. I'm an undersized post, so I have a harder time going up against taller people who are bigger, stronger and older.

VH: Who, if anybody, do you pattern your game after?
HT: I try to follow people who accelerate their game, which is usually Tina (Wirth) and Jen (Risper). They're really good leaders out there so I try to follow their leadership with hard work and all that.

VH: What about Vanderbilt did Coach Balcomb sell you on the most to come here?
HT: It wasn't one aspect. It was all aspects. Vanderbilt has a great women's basketball program, it has a great education, and when I came here I really liked the campus.

VH: How many pairs of basketball shoes do you own?
HT: I have no idea, too many. We usually get new pairs because we practice so much and wear them out so much we get new ones quite often.

VH: Were you disappointed to not beat Kentucky as badly as the men's team did?
HT: (Laughs) I don't know. It was a ǃÚW.'

VH: What song or group is on your Ipod right now?
HT: "Low" by Flo Rida.

VH: Who is your favorite NBA or WNBA team?
HT: I don't really like the NBA or WNBA, but I do like Lisa Leslie.
