SATURDAY
Men's Basketball vs. Georgia
3 p.m.
TV: Raycom

The soaring Commodores (22-4, 7-4 Southeastern Conference) host the freefalling Georgia Bulldogs (12-12, 3-8 SEC) at Memorial Gym in the two teams' second meeting this season. Vanderbilt, winners of five games in a row, defeated the Bulldogs 67-59 for its first SEC road win of the season on Feb. 6.

Georgia, meanwhile, has lost seven of its last eight games and has yet to win a conference road game. It has been an immensely frustrating season for the Bulldogs, who have come very close to winning many of their games, only to fold down the stretch.

Senior guard Sundiata Gaines has been the only offensive weapon lately for Georgia, averaging 23 points over the last four games. He leads the Bulldogs with 14.8 points, 6.6 rebounds and 4.3 assists per game.

SATURDAY
Memphis vs. Tennessee
8 p.m.
TV: ESPN

A rare match-up of the country's top two teams happens in Memphis when the No. 1 Tigers (26-0. 12-0 Conference USA) host No. 2 Tennessee (24-2, 11-1 SEC) in a battle for state and national supremacy.

Both teams are riding huge winning streaks into this game. Tennessee has won eight straight and 19 of 20, while Memphis hasn't lost all season. Tennessee did beat Memphis in the teams' last meeting however, 76-58 on Dec. 6, 2006.

A Tennessee victory in this game would give the Vols the No. 1 ranking in the country heading into next Tuesday's showdown with Vanderbilt at Memorial Gym.

FRIDAY-SUNDAY
Women's Lacrosse

The 12th-ranked Commodore women's lacrosse team takes on a pair of non-conference opponents during a weekend road swing in Maryland and Pennsylvania.

Vanderbilt will take on the UMBC Retrievers (Maryland-Baltimore County) on Friday, Feb. 22, at 4 p.m. ET, at UMBC Stadium. UMBC opened its season with a 16-7 loss at Hofstra last Saturday.

On Sunday, the Commodores will travel to Bethlehem, Pa., to face the Lehigh Mountain Hawks at 12 p.m. ET at the Ulrich Sports Complex. Lehigh is 2-0 after victories over Mount St. Mary's and St. Joseph's.

THEY SAID IT:

"Our goals are very clear. We want to make the SEC tournament, host a regional and make it to Omaha."

Vanderbilt outfielder Parker Hanks
