TICKETS:
Student tickets: $15, one ticket per Vanderbilt student
Faculty/staff weekend pass: $20, one ticket per faculty/staff member
General public weekend pass (purchased in advance): $45

The tickets will be exchanged at the gate for a wristband each day. Each student will be allowed to purchase one ticket at this price on his or her Vanderbilt card. Vanderbilt students will be required to show their student ID with their ticket for entry.

A Festival Guide for Rites of Spring
• A system has been created for the distribution of wristbands. Students will purchase two tickets and will be exchanged for a wristband each day for entry. The community will receive two tickets for a weekend pass and exchanged for a different color wristband each day of the festival. Patrons who purchase a single day ticket will also exchange their ticket for a wristband. Upon entry, students who are bringing in alcohol will have their attendance wrist band hole punched.
• The 21+ wrist bands will have tabs which will track how many beers each patron has brought into the music festival.
• Each patron will be screened by a security wand upon entry.
• Intoxicated persons will not be allowed to enter the event.
• All persons under the age of twenty-one (21) found drinking will be required to dispose of their beer immediately. They will be removed from the lawn and/or issued a citation or placed into custody if compliance is not met.
• All bags will be subject to a security check. No weapons allowed.
Items Allowed into the event:
One factory sealed bottled water (non-glass containers)
Chairs (must sit less than 1 ft off the ground)
Blankets
Purses/Bags- subject to search
Backpacks-subject to search
Up to six 12 oz aluminum cans of beer per person 21 years of age
Items Not Allowed into the event:
No weapons of any kind
No fireworks
No illegal substances
No glass containers
No video cameras
No professional photography equipment
No food or drinks - other than factory sealed water bottles and small snacks for dietary needs.
NO PETS
REDUCING RISK
Rites of Spring is committed to reducing the risks and negative consequences of alcohol consumption at the event. We will ensure cabs are available during the last two hours of the event for off campus guests.
Announcements about cab availability and DUI prevention will be made at appropriate times during the evenings.
All guests may bring one unopened bottled water to the event to be checked by security at the entrances. Vanderbilt Dining will facilitate the additional sale of food, water and soda on the lawn. No outside food is allowed into the event except small snacks for special dietary needs. This will be monitored at the entrances.
COOLERS & CHAIRS
Rites of Spring staff is committed to the safety of all participants at the event. Security staff will monitor unsafe use of coolers and chairs. Should participants stand on the coolers or chairs, they will be asked to sit down. If they do not comply, they will be removed from the event. Further, should it be evaluated that coolers or chairs are problematic at any time during the event, an alternative plan will be enforced and coolers and chairs will no longer be allowed at the event. No folding chairs other than low seated concert chairs will be allowed (chairs must sit less than 1 ft off the ground).
ALCOHOL POLICY
• 21-year-old guests will be allowed to bring six 12-ounce cans of beer to Rites of Spring one time each day.
• Coolers are allowed. Guests may combine their beer into one cooler if they enter together. No one is allowed to bring more than 12 beers together.
• All guests may bring one unopened bottled water and may bring small snacks if there is a special dietary need.
• Vanderbilt Dining will provide water, soda and snacks for purchase when gates open each day.
• The alcohol policy will be posted on the Rites of Spring Web site.
• No glass bottles will be allowed inside the venue.
