Reading day
Students can spend their day off of school and finals studying in any number of 24/7 study spaces, including The Commons, Sarratt Student Center and the Student Life Center. Most of the locations will have free coffee.

26th annual research forum
This forum is open to all Vanderbilt staff and medical students. Oral presentations will occur from noon to 2 p.m. in the First Tennessee Theater in the Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital.

Thursday, April 24
‘Obsession: Can a Disease Have a History?’
Lennard Davis, professor of English, Disability and Human development and Medical Education at the University of Illinois at Chicago, will lecture at 4:10 p.m. in the Bishop Joseph Johnson Black Cultural Center Auditorium. A reception will follow the lecture.

Friday, April 25
Web Spiders meeting
The Spiders Web Developer Group is a forum for networking, sharing and learning. Anyone who is a member of the Vanderbilt community — student, faculty or staff — can join the group, which will meet at 10 a.m. in Sarratt 116.

‘Text + Movement’
Poet and professor Bruce Andrews and dancer Sally Silvers will collaborate together at 5 p.m. in Alumni Hall, Room 117.

Friday through Sunday
Baseball games
The Commodores will take on the Kentucky Wildcats at 6 p.m. Friday, 2 p.m. Saturday and 1 p.m. Sunday at Hawkins Field.

Friday, May 9
Commencement
Commencement will be held for all university students on Alumni Lawn at 9 a.m. Receptions for each school will be held afterward.
