6-foot 4 guard Brad Tinsley has committed to playing basketball for the Commodores last weekend by signing a financial aid form with Vanderbilt.
Tinsley, released from a prior committment to Pepperdine earlier this year, made the decision between Vanderbilt and Wake Forest in the Commodores' favor. The senior from Oregon will join fellow new recruits Lance Goulbourne, Steve Tchiengang, and Jeff Taylor, the latter having signed with Vanderbilt just last week.
A lineup that includes rising sophomore A.J. Ogilvy could mean that the Commodores will have a younger starting five than in previous seasons. Fellow guard Jermaine Beal will accompany Tinsley on the roster.
"Either of us can bring (the ball) up or play the '2'," Tinsley told the Tennessean. "We're both very capable."
