Seniors Dominic de la Osa and David Macias both homered and drove in four runs to help rally Vanderbilt past Georgia, 13-7.
Vanderbilt (37-13, 15-9 Southeastern Conference) blew a 6-3 lead when Georgia scored four runs in the top of the seventh, but de la Osa hit a two-run home run to reclaim the lead in the bottom half of the inning. The Commodores poured it on from there, adding five more runs to put the game away.
Freshman Russell Brewer earned the win, striking out seven batters in just 2.2 innings of work.
The Commodores cut Georgia's lead in the SEC East to two games with the win. The two teams meet today at 2 p.m. at Hawkins Field, with freshman Caleb Cotham getting the start for Vanderbilt.
