Thursday, July 10

Enjoy the live music of Mario DaSilva in the grand lobby of the Frist tonight from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. for FREE. You can sip on a beverage from the cash bar while relaxing in the bistro style seating. Plus, with your college I.D. you can explore the art exhibits for FREE. This free admission is every Thursday night during the summer between 5 p.m. and 9 p.m.

Friday, July 11

If you’re in the mood for a little bluegrass, then tonight’s performance at Station Inn is for you. The night will light up with the bluegrass mandolin playing of the Roland White Band. The show starts at 9 p.m. and costs $10.

Saturday, July 12

A blend of lace, music, lingerie, dancing and hula hoops. That’s only some of what you’ll find at Panty Raid’s fifth annual birthday bash at Cannery Ballroom. The Tease-a-Thon starts at 9 p.m. So prepare yourself for three hours packed with the talents of a pogo-tease artist, belly dancers and much more burlesque than you ever imagined. Tickets are $15 advance and $18 at the door.

Sunday, July 13

Revisit one of the original James Bond movies, “From Russia with Love,” at the Belcourt Theatre. Featuring the classic man’s man and heartthrob, Sean Connery, the movie is sure to excite audiences at the noon showing. Tickets are $6.25 for students.

Monday, July 14

The place for a nice dinner or sumptuous dessert while listening to live jazz music is F. Scott’s restaurant. Tonight, the San Rafael Trio will delight diners and listeners beginning at 7 p.m. Check the calendar on the restaurant’s web site to learn more about the nightly performances.

Tuesday, July 15

Every Tuesday night in July, Café Coco hosts Bonsai Poetry Night. While munching on a personal pizza or Panini, you can experience poetry such as spoken word and the slam style or maybe share some of your own work at the open mic. There is no cover. The event is from 8 p.m. until 10 p.m.

Wednesday, July 16

You can sing the classic 1994 songs "Only wanna be with you" and "Let her cry" with the band that created the hits...Hootie and the Blowfish. The night at the Wildhorse Saloon will also feature the Drew Davis Band. As a part of their Homegrown Tour, the band asks for attendees to bring new school supplies as donations. Tickets range between $35 and $150. The doors open at 6 p.m.
