Vanderbilt has hired Reggie Garrett as Director of Marketng and Promotions for the university, effective August 11.

Vice-Chancellor David Williams described Garrett as a "rising star in collegiate athletic administration."

Garett has previously served as Director of Marketing at the University of Virginia, as well as Director of Ticket Sales and Promotions at Saint Louis University and Marketing Coordinator at the University of Houston. Garrett has been extremely successful at every school he has worked, with huge increases in ticket sales and revenues resulting from his marketing plans.

Garrett, a former college basketball player himself, expressed excitement at coming to Vanderbilt.

"I have the highest regard for the institution and am excited about the opportunities in front of us," Garrett said. "I look forward to building great relationships with the University leadership, the faculty, our student-athletes, coaches and staff, and the Nashville community.
