According to VUCast, Marie Colas, sister of Vanderbilt Associate Professor Pierre Colas, died this morning of injuries she obtained from the Aug. 26 shooting that also took her brother's life. Marie Colas was a postgraduate student from Switzerland who was visiting her brother in his East Nashville home when the shooting occurred. Four suspects have already been arrested and charged with criminal homicide for Pierre Colas' death. In a statement to VUCast, Metro police said the suspects' charges in relation to Marie Colas' death will be amended from attempted murder to criminal homicide.
