This is the last weekend to enjoy the 2008 Shakespeare in the Park production of Coriolanus at Centennial Park, and Sept. 5 has been designated  Vanderbilt night. There will be 20 reserved seats for Vanderbilt faculty, staff and students to use on a first-come, first-serve basis. Any open seats not taken by 7 p.m. will be released to the general public.

Coriolanus is the story of a war hero who finds himself caught in the political machinery of Rome when he becomes a reluctant candidate for the highest office in the land. This is the 21st annual production for the Nashville Shakespeare Festival, festival, which is collaborating this year with Naked Stages to produce one of the Bard’s most relevant and ironic tragedies. Pre-show entertainment begins at 6:30 p.m. with performances following at 7:30 p.m.
