I received the following message in my e-mail this morning:
"The Fire Safety Trailer that was supposed to be on Alumni Lawn today from 8:30am-2:30pm has been cancelled because of the rain."
This is poor spin. What they should have said is, "The Fire Safety Trailer that will STILL be on Alumni Lawn today from 8:30 am-2:30 pm has been made MORE SAFE by the rain."
After all, it's not every day we get both a fire safety trailer (whatever that is) and free water falling from the sky. Somebody should have capitalized on this.
