The Vanderbilt swimming and diving team will host Centre College and Rhodes College in a triangular meet at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Centennial Sportsplex. The meet marks the first of two home meets the Commodores will have in the 2008-2009 season.

The meet will have 13 events, starting with the 200 medley relay and ending with the 200 freestyle relay.

The Commodores enter the meet with an 0-1 record after falling to Alabama last week in Tuscaloosa. Against the Tide, Vanderbilt was led by the freshman trio of Kelly Obranowicz, Laura Dillon and Nicole Woodworth as they all posted first or second place times in all of their events. The Commodores swept the top three times at the 100 butterfly, with Obranowicz placing first with a 59.78.

Vanderbilt, one of the youngest teams in the nation as 85 percent of the squad consists of freshmen and sophomores, is looking forward to the privilege of hosting the meet.

"Our team is looking forward to the opportunity of competing at home this weekend," head coach Jeremy Organ said. "Last meet was the first of the season so we were able to see where we were as a team and what we needed to work on in preparing for this weekend's meet."
