Agas leak off campus (on White Bridge Road) has forced the shutdown of natural gas to the Vanderbilt campus. Plant Operations is working with Piedmont Gas to restore gas to campus and resume steam operation. Plant Operations expects to have service restored by 9 p.m. today.

In the meantime, the Vanderbilt campus, including Peabody, will be without steam. Hot water will be unavailable in all dorms.

Air conditioning and gas will be out in Morgan, Lewis and Blair.

All athletic facilities and the Student Recreation Center will be without steam and natural gas.

Plant Operations has activated back up chillers so most buildings on campus will continue to have air conditioning.

More information will be posted to the Vanderbilt Web site,www.vanderbilt.edu, as it becomes available.
