Commodore Nation is being urged to begin the mobilization for a trip to a postseason bowl appearance by the football team.
Vanderbilt Athletics has partnered with Total Sports Travel, a company that has arranged travel packages and bowl game activities for Southeastern Conference teams for 24 years, to make bowl travel arrangements.
Fans and alumni are encouraged to start planning to attend the bowl game right now and to be prepared to act once the Commodores know where and when they will play.
Vanderbilt became bowl eligible by beating Kentucky last Saturday night in Lexington, Ky.
“The win over Kentucky to become bowl eligible was particularly special, and a bowl game is a great way to end your time here,” said senior Marty Pendleton.
It practically guarantees a bowl berth, and a victory Saturday against the University of Tennessee or the following week at Wake Forest will make the Commodores a lock for the postseason.
It has been more than a quarter century since the black and gold visited a bowl, and many students are excited.
“I’m very excited they made it this far, I knew it was possible,” said senior Casssaundra Carter.
“I don’t care where it is, I’m going,” said senior Ashley Morgan.
