It's really hard to determine what the best part of Taylor Swift's newest album, "Fearless," is. At first I thought it would be the song that I have been longingly singing to anyone who will listen, "Love Story," despite the fact that I think Taylor doesn't realize that Romeo and Juliet die in the end. But listening to the rest of the album kept opening my eyes to the many amazing offerings that Swift brings to the world.

Consider first the depth and breadth of the lyrics and subject matter: everything from wanting a new love, to wanting an old love, to wanting a current love. Beyond that, the lyrical diversity and complexity continues to astound me. What exactly does she mean by "you belong with me," or "you're not sorry" or "it's too late for you?" We may never know.
But all joking aside, "Fearless" is ridiculously catchy. You can't help but sing "Love Story" again and again, and the rest of the album has that perfect contemporary country sound that will keep you listening until the next Taylor CD comes out. Other favorites wouldn't be complete without teen-makeover-movie-style "You Belong With Me," the tear-at-your-heartstrings "Forever and Always" or the creepily nostalgic "Fifteen."

With an excellent mix of depressed songwriting and teenage angst, the recently single recording artist has hit it right on the spot. As it turns out, the greatest contribution to the music industry by the Jonas Brothers was breaking up with Taylor Swift. Thanks, Joe.

If you're a hardcore Taylor fan like me, then you'll love the new CD. If you're not, you should still give it a listen. Trust me.
