Both Vanderbilt basketball teams are back in action tomorrow night as they continue Southeastern Conference play.

The Commodore men's team, coming off an 82-75 win over Auburn, seeks to snap a 2-game home losing streak when it hosts Alabama Thursday night at Memorial Gym. The teams tip off at 6 p.m. and the game will air on ESPN2.

The Commodores (13-8, 2-5 Southeastern Conference) and the Crimson Tide (13-8, 3-4) have split their last two meetings; the teams last met in Memorial on Jan. 17, 2007 when Alabama was No. 9 in the country and Vanderbilt won handily, 94-73. Alabama has not won in Memorial Gym since 1990.

Alabama is currently being headed by interim coach Phillip Pearson after long-time coach Mark Gottfried resigned under pressure last week.

Vanderbilt's 20th-ranked women's team will be on the road Thursday night against Mississippi State (16-6, 3-4). The Commodores, winners of three in a row, are off to their best start in SEC play since coach Melanie Balcomb took over and are currently in a three-way tie for first in the conference at 6-1 with Auburn and Florida.

Vanderbilt (17-5, 6-1) has won its last five meetings with the Bulldogs. The teams tip off at 7 p.m. and the game will air on 560 AM.
