It was reported to Vanderbilt Police Department that a burglary occurred at approximately 10:25 p.m. on Feb. 15 at Sutherland House. A student returned to his room and saw a man partially inside his ground level window, with his arm and part of his shoulder inside the student's room. The man at the window ran towards 18th Avenue South when the student entered the room. Nothing was missing from inside the room. The student had previously left the window unsecured.
At approximately 11:30 p.m. another report was received by VPD reporting that a man with a similar description was seen at approximately 10:10 p.m. walking through the area at the upper Quad of the Commons.
Suspect Description: Male, black, light-skinned with freckles, average build, tall, approximately 35 years old wearing a Pittsburgh Steelers Jersey with the number 80, blue jeans, stocking cap and gloves
