ANNOUNCEMENT: InsideVandy Frequently Asked Questions

What can I post?

Anything (within reason)! Post commentary, news stories, creative fiction, poetry, photographs, drawings, essays, and other content on your blog, in the community news portion of the site or in your photo gallery. You can even submit podcasts and videos for the InsideVandy staff to post.

All we ask is that you be a good citizen of Vanderbilt’s Online Community. Remember the values outlined in Vanderbilt’s Honor Code and Community Creed. Treat others as you would like to be treated, and think before you post. Remember, this Web site is open to the world, and represents Vanderbilt to the world.

How do I let you know about breaking news?

The best way to make sure news gets posted on InsideVandy is to register on the site and post your own community stories. Or, you can let the InsideVandy staff know about breaking news by e-mailing inside@insidevandy.com.

I think your site ate my post! Why isn’t it showing up on the site?

This is usually a pretty simple problem. InsideVandy makes you preview your post before submitting it. When you finish typing your post, click the “preview” button. Review your post, and scroll all the way down the page to the “submit” button. Click “submit”, and your post should show up on the page. If you forget to submit your post, it will not appear.

This all looks pretty cool. I want to get more involved.

One way you can get more involved with InsideVandy is by posting blog entries, community stories, photos and events- let everyone know about what’s happening on campus! Or contact Anne Malinee (director@insidevandy.com) about joining staff.
