Two words: Carson Palmer.
Playing Jay Cutler over Jake Plummer at this point of the season would be the worst thing for both the Denver Broncos’ season and the development of Cutler as a player. This is not a situation like Peyton Manning was in 10 years ago, when he was the best quarterback on a bad team and the entire team took their lumps together and grew as a unit. Denver had the second best record in the AFC last season and made it to the AFC Championship game with Jake Plummer as their quarterback, and it still has one of the best defenses in the league, one of the better coaching staffs and, this early in the season, certainly looks to contend for the division or wild card.
